Beehive

My mom took care of a wasp nest (or maybe it was a beehive) right outside my bedroom window, under the air conditioner. So I decided to take some death pictures of them and their home, including their unhatched eggs. It was... a little disgusting, but at the same time, exciting. My camera got really close that at one point, the lenses touched it. I was generally really careful because I wanted to take close-up shots, so I hope you all like these.

Oh right, so the tiny insects really know how to do their job. Their home is practically made of silk, it's marvelous.

Some pretty pictures

Most of these came right from my front yard. I thought the dew drops looked so gorgeous - thanks to my sister for her wonderful creativity - so I've actually cropped out original sizes of some of these as rewards in the upcoming contest. The original sizes are estimated to be around 4x larger.

And yes, that is the real statue of liberty. Torch in the right hand. I saw it during prom, and took a really quick picture of it because everyone was crowding around and the boat was moving kind of fast.

Trip to Illinois Part II

The second half of the photos taken at UIUC. Mostly buildings. And random stuff. So again, enjoy the pictures!

Trip to Illinois Part I

Today's the start of Memorial Weekend, hoorah for me. Here are a couple of pictures that my sister and I have taken and uploaded on Photobucket a long while ago, but I just didn't have the time to publicize them till now. They were all taken during the trip to Illinois, where I visited U of I at Urbana-Champaign with my family. We had some fun with the amazing clouds there (clearly), so enjoy the love!
